About Selenna

Selenna was born Pamela Jane Moore in 1958 in Tasmania, Australia to an atheist academic father obsessed with the mind, and a nurse mother obsessed with the body. Despite this, they were loving parents whose social consciences served to teach her the value of a commitment to justice and truth.

The second last of five children, Selenna's childhood household was noisy and her sense of self seemed to struggle for its very survival. To escape, she filled her hours with fantasy and dreams.

Floating through youth and adolescence, she observed that people were resiliant beyond the capacity of their minds, yet they were often ignorant of their own consciousness. The mind alone just didn't hold the answer. Finally she recognised there was something else at work... God.

In 1982 she met her partner, Jaraya. For the next decade they spent their time in an euphoric valley in Southeast Tasmania. During that time, a group of people set up an 'alternative lifestyle' community adjacent to their land. This small group had a profound impact on Selenna and Jaraya. In searching for their own spirituality, and with the Buddhist influence of the community, they found something beyond the packaging of the so-called 'new-age', which had in itself become a distraction. It had begun to gel into something more vast, of greater value.

Always wanting to write, her desire had been put on hold in favour of creating a house and family. But, although the community on her doorstep folded, the memory would live on. The professionals always say, "Write about what you know." So it became quite clear what it was she would write about. Nemeton sprang from this enormously enriching experience, as a way of uniting the various ideologies and thanking this tribal family for its generosity and love during that time. Many events within the story are accounts of actual experiences - although often embellished.

When their children began school, Selenna facilitated 'self-esteem' circles in the classroom to counteract the undermining of the children's empowerment which went on unconsciously in that system, until it became apparent that an hour a week was not sufficient to make a difference. Her daughter's self-esteem continued to suffer and in 1994 she took both children out of school and began home schooling them as it was clear that school was limiting their potential, rather than encouraging them to strive to actualise their dreams.

Earlier in 1994, Selenna underwent a radical spiritual practice which drastically changed her focus on life. After undergoing 21 days of intense spiritual fasting and focussed meditation, her whole perspective on life altered to enable her to see 'through Spirit's eyes'. It was a practical 'leap of faith'... jumping off the cliff with complete trust in God's will. The decision, also made by a number of friends, to do this particular process split their small spiritual family and it dispersed from the area. So began an extremely valuable and intense time communicating and working with Spirit, and it was then that Mother Mary made herself known to Selenna. Yeshua Benjosph - His Mother's Story came through in answer to her son's question.

This sense of 'aloneness' was a blessing... learning to live outside the 'tribal' energy of conditional acceptance. Taking advantage of this, they decided to travel mainland Australia with their children, taking each day as it arrived with total awareness of Spirit's guidance. The ten month episode was filled with many joyful encounters and new friendships. It was no 'holiday', however. On their return to Tasmania, the inner journey was chronicled, from its many dimensional viewpoints, in Beyond the Veils of Time.

Selenna perceived A Question of Sovereignty as being 'a gift from God', received during a solitary retreat in September 1997.

The continuing journey is now taking her outwards. In 1999, Selenna began producing and presenting a radio program dedicated to helping others find the tools to self-empowerment. Called 'Wounded Healer', it was broadcast weekly at the local community radio station, Tasman FM. In March 2001, Wounded Healer was picked up by Community Radio Satellite for national distribution.

Since September 2001 and having returned to city life, her focus has changed. As the world was increasingly influenced by those engulfed by fear and after meeting Altea America, she turned her efforts to addressing this recent imbalance. Daughter of the Sun God, which is soon to be published. is the product of her recent journey.

Selenna currently works as a receptionist for one of Australia's leading Nutritional and Environmental Medical Practitioners.
